Virginia's View Challenge #14

Hello April! It's that exciting time to announce our new challenge!
We all love to add layers and dimensions to our card designs! Let's explore the possibilities of how you can take these elements to the next level. Since we have done the Clean Slate (One Layer) Challenge this past January, it is high time to check out layers and dimensions!

What you can create with this challenge:
~layering with paper
~using dies to add dimensions
~using ANY paper (vellum, pattern paper, foil, acetate....) creatively
~using pop dots and fun foam to create height
~making your own embellishments with layers of paper...
~ANYTHING that has layers and/or dimensions

Here is my take on "Layers":
on your wedding day
With vellum, pattern paper and layered paper, this card may look busy, but it doesn't look cluttered. There are 4 layers of paper! There is a piece of white card stock underneath the vellum.

My take on "Dimensions":
happy Easter
I used Double-sided Tape and Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Border Die to create dimensions. They definitely help in adding another fun element to the design!

Important info: As most of you know, this challenge is really a one-person run challenge--that's me, Virginia! My two helpers- fellow panel judges (my hubby Dr. John and my daughter Stephanie) play big roles in this challenge blog. I've decided that we are going to make a small change--just for the month of April. Both of them have their birthday in April... I think they deserve a BREAK ! That means this month's challenge will be extended to May 18th (instead of April 18th). This is no April fool's joke. I simply need some time to plan ahead for this challenge blog. I hope this is not disappointing to you in any way. As usual, we have a few uber talented guest designers throughout the entire challenge to inspire you. Be sure to watch out for new posts!

About the challenge: This monthly card-making challenge blog will run till May 18th (11:55pm Eastern Time) and there will be a SPOTLIGHT feature of Top 10 Favorites on May 25th. Any style and all levels are most welcome! You can read more about the challenge guidelines at the bottom of the page. Among the Top 10 Fav, there will be a random draw for a lucky (and talented) winner who will then receive the top prize. In order to qualify for the top prize, your project has to be NEW (not linked back to a previously made project). You are welcome to combine other challenges, but please limit your total number of challenges to no more than 4.

Our Sponsor: Simon Says Stamp

We will have TWO winners from this nearly two-month long challenge.

One winner will be randomly selected from Top 10 Favorites
and
one participant will be randomly selected to win a $25 voucher! It could be ANYONE!

  AWESOME, eh?!

I hope that you are up to this challenge. I can't wait to see what you are up to...

What a stunning card Virginia! I love that wedding card, all that gold embossing is very elegant, and looks festive to me. I bet it will have many entries with the extended deadline, so plenty of time to play here this time.
