All Things Distressed

Hello, friends!
Are you having fun with this month's theme--All Things Distressed?
If you have not commented on Jill's video, please do so. You never know, you just might be one of  the lucky winners of the Penny Black $25 Gift Giveaway!

I am popping in to share my take on the distressed cards. First up is this super easy design. It may look rather flat, but it certainly has some dimension and textures...thanks to the distressing!
Season's Greetings
Stamps: Holly Berries (Simon Says Stamp/Clearly Besotted)
Ink: Distress Inks (Vintage Photo, Antique Linen, Mustard Seed, Fire Brick, Peel Paint, Mowed Lawn), Embossing Powder (Cayenne) by Recollections
Paper: Epiphany by Prima Flowers (6x6 Paper Pad)
Accessories: sequins, Smooch (gold)

My 2nd card is all about torn/distressed edges. Let's not forget...distressing is not all about inking. You can tear up the edges of card stock to create a very unique and handmade look.
I am here for you
Stamps: Avery Elle Weather It Die, Weather It Stamp
Inks: Distress Ink (Vintage Photo), VersaFine
Paper: DIY Boutique (Simple Stories), DCWV Color card stock , Brighton Pier (Studio Calico)
Accessories: IrRESISTible Ink (Blue)

I hope that you like  the distressed look and start getting inky if you haven't already.

What do you think? You've. Got. This.
 Thanks for stopping by!

Both cards are great, but I LOVE the first one. While I love the look you created, I have a hard time creating it myself but I am going to try.

I love the softness and vintage look that distress edges with ink gives. Your first card is a perfect example of that, it's just beautiful. Your second card reminds me of one of my favorite techniques for decorating my scrapbook pages. I used to tear the paper all the time because I really like that look. You've taken it to another level by making the strips into stripes on your umbrella. Awesome idea!
